With Singita lodges, which provide opulent lodging situated in privileged locations within the Grumeti Reserve, you can embark on the ultimate six-night safari adventure in the heart of the Serengeti. To protect the yearly migration of wildebeests and the astounding biodiversity of this enormous ecosystem, a private concession was created next to the Serengeti National Park. It features breathtaking views of the classic savannah, large herds of grazers, and elusive predators—truly the essence of Africa’s dramatic landscape.

Our route has been thoughtfully planned to highlight this stunning landscape. Enjoy two nights of luxury at each of the three lodges, which are renowned for their outstanding fine dining and luxurious spa services. Each lodge is situated in a distinctive area and offers its own distinctive character, aspect, and grandeur, offering an unmatched safari experience.

Day by Day

Itinerary

Day 1: A Serengeti welcome | 2 Nights

You will be picked up in Arusha and transported to the airport in order to board a scheduled charter plane before the safari adventure begins. The two-hour flight provides breathtaking views of the vast, never-ending plains, known to the local Maasai as Siringitu.

Your tour guide will take you on a game drive to the Singita Sabora Tented Camp from the Singita Sasakwa airstrip. Over a million wildebeest, gazelles, and zebras live here, making it one of the last remaining natural migration corridors on the planet. In this Big 5 country, which is surrounded by a breathtaking and expansive landscape, you can still see a variety of animals even outside of the migration season.

When you arrive at Singita Sabora Tented Camp, the explorer’s camp in the style of the 1920s with its nostalgic and opulent atmosphere will immediately catch your attention. The decor of the lodge is dominated by wood, canvas, leather, and exquisite finishing touches, giving it a unique and opulent feel that contrasts with the nearby savannah plains.Your suite is a luxurious haven that you might not want to leave, but before your first afternoon game drive, a delectable high tea is waiting for you in the lounge area.

A knowledgeable guide will help you explore the vast wilderness and observe the animals that call it home on these exciting and varied game drives. Your guide will pick a picturesque spot for a sundowner as the sun sets so you can sip a cool beverage and munch on snacks while toasting to the stunning African sunset. Your first safari day should end during this enchanted time in the bush as the stars start to appear above.

Your observant guide may be able to spot rarely seen nocturnal animals emerging to hunt and gather food as you make your way back to the camp under spot lighting.

Day 2: Enjoy a full day safari

Set your sights on the timeless rhythm of the landscape all around you, a drama that plays out in cyclical patterns that predate the dawn of time. You get up with the sun, excited for the morning’s game drive and what it will bring. The air is cool, there is dew on the grass, and animals are still moving around. The tracks and feces on the ground describe what happened the previous evening. Your tour guide explains the wonders that surround you and the countless secrets of the bush that emerge to the attentive observer. You can find the tree where a leopard hid his kill the previous night by following a drag mark in the nearby grass. You enjoy the thrill of thinking that he might be nearby. The majestic cat is suddenly revealed, lying supine on a branch, perfectly camouflaged by his exquisitely spotted coat, as you are still in awe of the scene.

After your morning drive, you return to the lodge to find a hearty and wholesome gourmet brunch waiting for you. This happens just as the fresh air whets your appetite. During the scorching afternoon siesta, you can unwind with a cold beverage at the pool, visit the spa, or simply take in the magnificent scenery from your own private viewing deck. At this time, everything is shrouded in a comforting air of tranquility as the cicadas thud hypnotically and birds cooed in the trees above.

You feel eager to head outside again for a game drive or guided walk after a few hours of rest, reading, or relaxation so you can experience what nature has in store for you firsthand.

Reliving the day’s events over a campfire with your fellow safari companions in the evenings allows you to learn from and amuse each other. At the social main table or in romantic, candlelit seclusion, meals are a lavish culinary affair paired with fine wines. Finish the night with your preferred cognac by the fire, surrounded by a brilliant sky full of stars, and the audible rumble of the wild Serengeti.

Days 3-4: Explore the Grumeti River area | 2 Nights

You depart Singita Sabora Tented Camp on this day and take a leisurely game drive to the Grumeti River. The next lodging is Singita Faru Faru Lodge, which is situated on a slope and has views of a waterhole and a river. Modern and relaxed, with an eye for detail and usefulness, the lodge. It has an elegant colonial style thanks to the use of stone and canvas, and the huge glass windows offer stunning views of the surroundings and wildlife. Everything is taken care of by your personal attendant, allowing you to fully take in the breathtaking surroundings.

A hot air balloon safari is a fantastic additional way to experience the Serengeti, in addition to daily game drives and safaris on horses. Nothing compares to floating silently over the plains while gazing down at the animals. After that, sip on some champagne to commemorate your amazing journey.

Days 5-6: Hill-top views over the Serengeti | 2 Nights

The Sasakwa Lodge, your final lodging option, is perched atop Sasakwa Hill and offers breathtaking views of the Serengeti plains below from its roomy veranda. The lodge’s architecture blends colonial opulence with European design and East African accents to create a sophisticated and cozy atmosphere with first-rate service and cutting-edge amenities.

The lodge is well known for its horseback safaris, which give you the chance to feel completely free and get much closer to the game than ever before. All skill levels of riders can find horses at the on-site equestrian center. After an exhilarating day of riding, unwind with a cocktail by the pool and savor a fine-dining meal in the formal dining room or on your private deck.

Indulgent spa treatments are followed by game drives, safari walks, horseback safaris, archery lessons, and tennis at Sasakwa Lodge. In this breathtaking location above the Serengeti plains, live like a colonial grandee.

Day 7: Returning home.

You still have time for a game drive after a leisurely breakfast before going to the airport to board your charter flight to Arusha and other destinations. Take a moment to think back on the unforgettable experiences you had, such as your first encounter with a leopard, hearing the thundering sound of hooves, or hearing a lion’s low roar against a stunning African sunset. Keep in mind the times you spent by the fire gazing at the Milky Way’s sparkling surface and the relaxing sounds of hippos lulling you to sleep. You will always treasure the memories of this enchanted location and the endless plains that stretched out in front of you.
