Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll take a light aircraft to Manyara Strip, where you’ll be driven for about three hours to reach the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, you’ll stop to admire the scenery, have a packed lunch, and then head to the Highlands for the next two nights.

The Highlands offers exceptional safari luxury with tents that have en suite facilities and floor-to-ceiling windows that blend indoor and outdoor spaces.

On the next day, you’ll enjoy a morning game drive in the Crater, which provides a classic Big 5 safari experience in the ancient volcano caldera. In the late afternoon, you’ll visit a nearby Maasai village, where you can learn more about their culture and participate in their afternoon activities, such as helping to round up cattle for the evening.

After having breakfast, you’ll be taken back to Manyara Airstrip where you’ll catch a charter flight to the renowned Serengeti, which takes around forty-five minutes. Then, you’ll be transferred to your next lodging, Kimondo Migration Camp.

This camp is located in the heart of one of the most amazing natural events on earth, the Great Migration. The camp moves twice a year, spending some months in the north section of Serengeti and other months in the south, following the herds. The tents in the camp come with bucket showers, flush toilets, and connect you to the untamed wilderness of the area, giving you a genuine African experience.

During the next few days, you’ll explore and search for some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in Africa. The grasslands, savannahs, forests, and woodlands in the area are home to the famous big cats, including leopards, lions, and cheetahs. You’ll spend your evenings in camp, having dinner, sharing your daily adventures in the African way, by the fire.

You will leave for Rubondo Island Camp on Lake Victoria in the middle of the afternoon following an early morning game drive in the Serengeti. There is only one camp on the island, and it offers guests breathtaking views of the lake and its surrounding tropical forests. Numerous animals, including chimpanzees, monkeys, hippos, and crocodiles, can be found on the island in their natural habitat.

As part of the Rubondo habituation program, you will spend one of your mornings at Rubondo Island Camp trekking through the forest with a guide, a ranger, and a researcher in search of chimpanzees. Being among the first visitors to interact with the island’s chimpanzees is a rare and special opportunity.

Furthermore, you can participate in a variety of activities like escorted nature hikes, safari-style game drives, and a serene dhow cruise. You can unwind by the pool or on your private veranda while sipping chilled wine and taking in the sounds of the forest during your free time.

After your final breakfast overlooking Lake Victoria, you will be driven to the airstrip for your morning flight back to Kilimanjaro International Airport to continue your adventures or start heading back home.
